Shane & Erika

If you looked in the dictionary and found the word beautiful, you would see Erika & Shane. Yes they both are gorgous, but they also have the most loving souls. These two are not only just beautiful, but perfect. Perfect for each other. Beautiful together. So it was no surprise that October 2, 2010 was just that. Beautifully Perfect.

Every now and then I get a Bride who wants her whole day captured & asks me to spend 12 hours with them on their wedding day doing just that. And what better place then to spend that entire day then at the Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico. This venue is Amazing. Their outdoors ceremony took place in front of the cutest gazebo, just next to the greens. With 150 of their closest friends & families celebrating their love and union of their families, Shane said 'I Do' with the promise of allowing Erika to come home from shopping and not look at the bill. While Erika's vow of "I Do" promised to let Shane watch sports uninterrupted. That is true love.

A quick trip away from the ceremony spot, allowed us some unique photos right on the greens. Where Mr & Mrs Burreson enjoyed some alone time, while Nicole Roberts, who graciously offered to be my 2nd shooter for the day, and I captured their beautiful essence. Seriously Beautiful.

Up in the Reception venue, the room lit by a breathtaking chandelier, guest dined, danced & celebrated late into the night. Slipping into a second gown, Erika and Shane, with wedding party in tow, headed to downtown Chico to their favorite hangout. The Wild Horse Salon. Not only did they dance the whole evening, but these two actually rode the bull. Yes. I got pictures.

Shane & Erika, I simply adore the two of you. Thank you for allowing me the great honor of spending your entire wedding day with you, capturing the laughter, tears & boot stomping fun. But for also coming into my life as new friends. I wish you all the happiness & joy in the world, and know that your marriage will always be Beautifully Perfect. All my love ~Jenn

Ian & Melissa

Crisp blue skies, glass smooth lake and a beautiful couple saying 'I do'. That's what I found in Tahoe. Ok, I didn't 'find' it, I was invited to capture Ian & Melissa's wedding day, in stunning South Lake Tahoe.

What better location then one of nature's most delicious places in this region to celebrate their union. Of course it started when Ian proposed on the dock leading to the great blue lake, so it was only natural for these two lovers to see each other for the first time on that same spot. A stroll down the beach led to a picture perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. Where family & friends from all over cried & laugh at the heartfelt honesty written in each other's vows.

An intimate and relaxed vibe filled the venue, as guest shared stories of Melissa & Ian falling in love at Lowe's, kissing on Dave's porch & raising ruckus as kids. With every tear of joy & happiness, there was laughter to celebrate these two special bond.

Ian & Melissa, it was such an honor for Ross and I to be apart of your beautiful day. May your marriage be as perfect & wonderful as September 24th was. All my love~Jenn

Uhmmmm, Mrs Davis? You are absolutely stunning!!!
love, Love, LOVE when bride & groom's decide to see each before the ceremony. It's not only exciting & romantic, but it allows breathtaking photos that you just don't get otherwise. Thank you Mr & Mrs Davis for the perfect backdrop!
Who would have thought Mr Ian had the moves of a GQ model? Of course everyone knows about his evil laughter eyebrows...but that's a whole other story!
Love time with the wedding party! Thanks to all above for putting up with my creative chaos, you are all so much fun!
Have to share: The top photo was shot by my amazing husband Ross, who is learning to put up with me as his boss & taking chances to capture such beautiful photos.

Hello Class of 2011!!

We had a great time visiting unique locations around Chico to showcase Erika's kickin style & beautiful smile. This girl knows how to put outfits together, so much so I had to capture her little details that just made her look perfect.

Thanks Erika for bringing your entourage with you. I had a fantastic time getting to know you & photographing your beautiful spirit. Enjoy your senior year of high school, because like my Dad always said, it's the last fun year of your whole life. Kidding. He did say that. A lot. Seriously, have fun, study hard, cheer with a smile, stay away from boys & have a blast!! All my YHS love ~Jenn
