On Saturday, my loving husband Ross planned a surprise date for us. So we dressed up (oh I was so excited, because I knew that what ever we were doing, it was going to be nice!) and drove 1 1/2 hours north. We ended up at Seven Hills Land & Cattle Company, Anselmo Vineyards in Inwood, CA. A working ranch with all the beauty of a resort, their new dining room offered a romantic setting while dining on generous portions of 100% local products. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of their most popular Saint Pe De Bigorre Blanc white wine. So was it worth 3 hours of driving? The homemade carrot cake with carmel sauce alone was worth the drive!
